xx jbrun101 file not found
« Thread started on: Aug 31st, 2012, 12:38pm »

I am new to jb and I'm having a problem creating a .exe file. The problem is I downloaded jb but when I try to save the jbrun101.exe, I get a message "file not found",
I uninstalled jb and reinstalled but it didn't work. Any suggestions? All help would be appreciated as I have created a small stand alone random number generator and want to try it out in realtime.

Thanks in advance

There are many examples to follow on this forum. I suspect you are not saving your project to a unique directory. You also don't need to create a .exe to run your program's, just click the > run icon in the editor.

If you are creating a .exe don't try and create it in the program files directory or indeed the program files\just basic directory. Create your own directory like c:\myprograms directory.

I am trying to create a .exe file , I am following the directions of creating a separate file and putting in the required files as directed in the instructions. The problem is there is no jbrun101.exe file to copy, which is to my understanding required to be in the folder. I know I can run my progam .tkn in the editor , I have done that! So my question is why when I click the icon for Jbrun101.exe do I get the message, "file not found".
Or am I missing something?

Drag and drop your TKN file onto the copy of JBrun101.exe.

If this works, you just need to rename JBrun101.exe to match the name of your TKN file.

Example:

TKN file ............ MyProg.tkn
JBrun101.exe ... MyProg.exe

If the EXE extension is not visible, then don't include it during renaming, since this will result in MyProg.exe.exe, which is wrong.
