I just want to say I am looking forward to a game called No Man's Sky which will come out on PS4 then later PC, perhaps in 2015.

It is the kind of game I have always wanted. To explore space, in a game that is large enough that would take more than a real lifetime of gameplay to actually explore. This is done in the game with procedural generation, something I messed around with a little in 2010 (see: http://justbasic.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=code&action=display&num=1279734947 ).

The game looks promising, graphically impressive, infinite roaming around, without an end... It will drain your life haha.

No Man's Sky will be released JUNE 2016 (announced today - 27 Oct 2015).

It will be PS4 and PC exclusive at launch, and possibly permanently.

No Man's Sky releases TOMORROW (in the USA, 9 August 2016) for the PS4.

It originally got delayed from June to August. Note that the PC version releases on 12 August 2016.

This game takes programming procedural generation to the next level. Now it is time to truly enjoy a game of exploration and endless discovery (systems, planets, fauna and flora). And you get to Name what you discover too!

It is a massive space sandbox that also throws in survival in severe conditions, mining and trading, upgrading ships/suits/multitools, meeting aliens and learning their language, battling space pirates (perhaps becoming one), black holes, mysterious lore, and more!

I really can't wait !
