cursor placement in TEXTEDITOR
« Thread started on: Jul 7th, 2014, 07:30am »
The new Building Blocks article about placement of cursor to a particular spot in texteditor control, somewhat different from what I found only in that I needed a semicolon to make my program work the way I wanted. tsh73, your new example demonstration program does not use that semicolon. I have not yet run the example in the new BB article, I just know that when my program and the other example from the Novice board were tried, without the semicolon, a new line was where the cursor went. Adding the semicolon put the cursor right at the end of the text string in the texteditor.
I'll just need to see what happens when I run the new BB example about cursor placement.

Commands ("!stuff" )does not needs comma. It just shouldn't (and it my tests, doesn't) matter.
But if you have end of line in the end of the text, going to end of text will move cursor to that empty line.
Example prints text lines with end-of-line on each line (without semicolon). But you can backspace it and try pressing buttons. Extra line end should not happen.
Q: "And if I took your codes and compile them, and sell them for a profit"? A: Go ahead. I had my share of good then I coded it for fun, if you can make better use of it - please do. (enjoying JB 1.01 on WinXP, netbook and desktop)
