xx Words = Numbers, Code Puzzles
« Thread started on: Jul 6th, 2017, 06:38am »

Next Puzzle is:

NOON
MOON
SOON +
--------
JUNE

Every letter is a code for a unique digit ie no two letters code the same digit.

No Word = Number may start with 0, so in the above example N <> 0 because it starts a word.

For those who learn by example, we have 3 fine solutions to a simular puzzle in the thread "Basic coding" page 3 and 4, replies #39 to 49. http://justbasic.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=novice&num=1497366202&action=display&start=30

For those who might want more instruction, I will continue the Basic coding thread with a step by step instruction.

I hope to see some new coders stepping up to the plate and taking a swing at this. smiley

Hi,

Just finished coding solution to this puzzle.

EDIT:

"The digits for two of the letters can be switched in the solution(s)." hmm...

No actually it's two Word = numbers that could be switched in the equation. That describes the solution(s) better.
