xx HTML Editor v1.0
« Thread started on: Jan 2nd, 2006, 7:51pm »

After seeing the thousands of HTML editors (and running out of programming ideas), i made one of my own. Its the best program ive made. Could I get some feedback? Im not suggesting it, but bug-fixes would be nice. It might be a bit hard to find any, not because there arent any, but because it would be hard to track them down . grin

You can find it here:

It won't work for anybody else because you've hard coded your directory structure into the code.

loadbmp "div", "C:\Documents and Settings\Douglas\My Documents\BASIC\HTML Editor\bmps\divider.bmp"

I don't have a "Douglas" folder on my computer.

Also, you've used #out, which won't work in Liberty BASIC, since "out" is a reserved word.

I have looked at many of the HTML editors here. This one is really good.
I teach HTML and notepad++ seems a little too much for high school students.

I need something simple.

What is missing: I could not find "Settings" to choose a different browser.
(The browser did not load; but that is minor.)

I know this is 10 years old, some newer HTML elements would be great.

The challenge is keeping it simple and functional.

I like the speed buttons. I wonder if there is a way to get tooltips.

Thanks for this.

Search turned this
Tooltip
(real tooltips are impossible with JB, but if you have place to draw, you can draw anything)
EDIT
also
How do you make hover over bmp buttons?
and
Mouse Over Event

Q: "And if I took your codes and compile them, and sell them for a profit"?
A: Go ahead. I had my share of good then I coded it for fun, if you can make better use of it - please do.
(enjoying JB 1.01 on WinXP, netbook and desktop)
